A Level Study and the Love of Learning

Intellectual development and a genuine love of learning sit at the heart of the Kneller Hall Sixth Form.

Our A Level courses are taught by inspirational teachers whose goal is for every student to achieve the very best they can, in subjects they have come to care about deeply. Class sizes are small. Teaching is dynamic, stretching and intellectually demanding. Progress is monitored carefully throughout the two years, with personal targets set at each stage.

University Guidance

We invest seriously in university guidance. Every Sixth Former receives dedicated, personalised support through the UCAS process: researching and shortlisting options, writing personal statements, preparing for interviews and handling offers. We have strong relationships with admissions teams at leading universities across the UK and internationally, and a track record of supporting students into highly competitive programmes.

The Kneller Laureate in the Sixth Form

The Kneller Laureate continues through Years 12 and 13,  It reflects not just academic achievement but the full breadth of a student’s development – a rich, personal record that supports university applications, early careers and the transition to adult life far more effectively than a transcript alone.

Leadership and Responsibility

Sixth Formers are the senior members of the Kneller Hall community and we treat them accordingly. They take on leadership roles as House Captains, mentors, society leaders and organisers. These responsibilities develop the maturity, soft skills and sense of purpose that universities and employers look for in the young people they want to shape the future.
